See on Scoop.itRED.ED.TIC

2º Escogemos esa imagen “Happy mother’s day”. Seleccionamos

See on proyectoguappis.blogspot.com.es

BLACK LIGHT THEATRE

Our students are practising black light theatre. This is one kind of theatre from China and very commun in Prague.  An extremely high fluorescence for special effects can be obtained witblack lights" which emit UVA light.
Black Theatre, is a theatrical performance style characterized by the use of black box theatre augmented by a black light  illusion. This form of theatre originated from Asia and can be found in many places  tharound the world. It has become a speciality of Prague.
How it works??
The distinctive characteristics of "black theatre" are the use of black curtains, a darkened stage, and "black lighting" (UV light), paired with fluorescent costumes in order to create intricate visual illusions.
In our classes of Phisycal Education and Music they´re  creating these fantastic and amazing projects and performances.

Why does the moon produce Tides? Forces

Last night, full moon. We can see it very well these days  but the tides in the sea always exist. Remember that is the main reason why water level rises in the beaches on in the sea shores. Some pictures of the moon last night.

The following diagram shows how the moon causes tides on Earth:
In this diagram, you can see that the moon’s gravitational force pulls on water in the oceans so that there are “bulges” in the ocean on both sides of the planet. The moon pulls water toward it, and this causes the bulge toward the moon. The bulge on the side of the Earth opposite the moon is caused by the moon “pulling the Earth away” from the water on that side.
If you are on the coast and the moon is directly overhead, you should experience a high tide. If the moon is directly overhead on the opposite side of the planet, you should also experience a high tide.
During the day, the Earth rotates 180 degrees in 12 hours. The moon, meanwhile, rotates 6 degrees around the earth in 12 hours. The twin bulges and the moon’s rotation mean that any given coastal city experiences a high tide every 12 hours and 25 minutes or so.

Introducing new fish in the acuarium. Ecosystems

Yesterday the children of 4ºA could experience how to introduce and perform this process to get and add new tropical fish in our school tank.
The steps we did we did were the following:

  1.  Turn off the lights in the aquarium; bright light may disturb the new fish.
  2.  Float the bags containing the new fish in the aquarium. If they have travelled for more than 20 minutes then open the bags to allow air in. The sides of the bags can be rolled down to create a ‘floating rim’, keeping the bag upright.
  3. After about 15-20 minutes the temperature of the water in the bag should have equalised to that of the aquarium water.
  4. Before introucing the fish it’s neccessary to add two or three glasses of water into the plastic bag to balance the water levels into the plastic bags. Now the fish can have the similar conditions. The fish can now be gently released from the bag by slowly tipping into the aquarium.
  5. Leave the aquarium lights off for another few hours or for the rest of the day, in most cases the new fish will not need to be fed and may be unwilling to feed but it may be wise to feed the existing fish to divert their attentions away from the new fish.
We show you some of this process in the photos.

Crash Test without seat belts. Forces on a watermelon. Forces and Movement

With this video you will realise why seat belts are so important in our cars. They can save lifes and we must know that the power of forces can be very dangerous in car accidents.

Look at this video and realise  the effort rubber bands do on a mellon. Of course your real shight misses lots of frames and images we don't see very well. Here you can see how contact forces affect objects, the flexible rubber bands produce a contact force on the watermelon and after placing lots of rubber bands the fruit doesn't resist the force of the rubbers.
